We are reading this book as a class, discussing appropriate behavior, and finding there is something good in everyone . We are recognizing different character traits, settings, details of events, and context clues, along with idioms, hyperboles, metaphors, and similes that are throughout the book. This humorous story is a sequel to The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!
Fourth graders are learning the different regions, the resources, and the early people of North Carolina. They are using computer skills to create a slide show on a Native American tribe and are working in groups to complete a totem pole project.
